Simon Updates Hotline Simon updated the Hotline yesterday with the message below. Credits go to Rie for transcribing it. "Hi, hi - can you hear me? You can, I know you can! It's Simon, you got through to Simon which means that you know you probably only will be able to believe about half of what you hear! Well.... I'm here in London, it's March, in fact the very very end of March. [?????] April's fool's Day - because you know what happens there. It's grey today but it was sunny last week. I've been in the studio working on a song called Lady Xanax. It took me ages to finish the vocals for it but it's sounding really, really great - but it was painful and I just want you guys to know what I actually have to go through to entertain you. The actual pain and suffering and frustration that I experience, and you don't have to deal with that. Well.... that's [?????] Anyway, I've got some questions for you: Did you know that we probably are gonna be going on tour this summer in the States? We don't have any finalized dates yet but we are looking forward to it. Did you know? And if you did know, are you happy? And if you've got any ideas of any songs you would like us to play - any songs, you know, if there's any old song of those albums that would be great to hear - get onto the website and let us know because uuhm... it was great going out playing "Secret Oktober" but I think it's time we did something else that was a little bit uuhm... off the wall like that one! Uhm... and what else? Well, we do take longer than anybody else in the world to make our records so you are still waiting for that one! I have forgotten the question (he whispers this) - and this is, uhm.. well, this thing is recording and when this thing cuts out it really cuts out but I hope you are well, we miss you all! We are still having a great time - and I'm just looking forward to some sunshine, that grey wet stuff is kind of behind us now..... [??????] I carry my own personal grey cloud that just follows me around. Followed around the school playground.... [BRUTAL CUT OUT]"
